"The ASHRAE life is changeable on the individual equipment field, or will pull in when you pull in the equipment type.

The remaining life will calculate based on the ASHRAE life, and the current age of equipment.

The remaining life will change either with pulling in the equipment type again, or a manual entry in the current age, or manually adjusting the remaining life. <...> If the customer re-select the Equipment type, the ASHRAE value will go back to default, if they had changed it."
